Clear pricing, recurring billing, cancellations and refunds for Hey Girl Insider, the Executive Mentoring & Strategic Advisory Membership and our consultations.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy is issued by Dr Elena Carruba, trading as Change Academy, and applies to Hey Girl Insider, the Executive Mentoring & Strategic Advisory Membership and any other recurring memberships or paid subscription services offered through Change Academy. It also explains cancellation for paid consultations and the free discovery consultation. Where a separately agreed consultancy contract contains service-specific terms, those apply to that service to the extent lawful. Please read it alongside our terms & conditions and privacy policy.

2. Hey Girl Insider: product and price

Hey Girl Insider is a digital membership offering member-only articles, reflections, learning resources and the full archive, as described on the membership page at the time you subscribe. It opens once the member content is ready. The UK price is £6.99 per month, with the total payable shown at checkout before you commit.

Insider is separate from executive mentoring. It does not include coaching or mentoring, guaranteed personal responses, clinical or other regulated advice, or paid consulting sessions. Content and features may develop over time; we will tell you about any material reduction in paid benefits and offer the options and remedies the law requires.

3. Joining and payment authorisation

Your first payment is taken when you join, unless a different offer or start date is clearly displayed. The subscription then renews monthly from the start date until cancelled. If a payment fails, Stripe may retry it, we may let you know, and paid access may pause until the card is updated; we will not impose penalties you have not agreed to.

4. How to cancel your Insider membership

You may cancel at any time, with no minimum commitment, from your account page (which opens Stripe's secure customer portal), or by emailing drelenacarruba@changeacademy.net with the subject "Cancel my membership". We will acknowledge your cancellation and confirm the effective date in writing.

To avoid the next renewal charge, cancel before your next billing date, which is shown on your account page. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the month you have already paid for, unless a statutory cooling-off cancellation or other remedy requires a different result.

Closing a browser window or unsubscribing from marketing emails does not by itself cancel a paid membership. If you cannot access your account, email us and we will help you cancel without unreasonable barriers.

5. Executive Mentoring & Strategic Advisory Membership

A professional executive advisory service at £1,500 per month, not an unlimited-access membership. Each month includes two private 75-minute sessions, a monthly action plan and limited between-session written support for agreed strategic questions. Sessions are scheduled with Elena around her availability.

6. Free 20-minute discovery consultations

The free introductory consultation is not a membership and does not set up any recurring payment. A card is registered securely through Stripe to secure the booking, but no charge is made and there is no cancellation or no-show fee.

Bookable times are limited (evenings and Saturdays, UK time). Bookings need at least 24 hours' notice and can be made up to 21 days ahead. You may cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours' notice by emailing drelenacarruba@changeacademy.net. If a free consultation is missed without notice, Elena reserves the right to decline a further complimentary booking. If we need to change an appointment, we will offer another time.

7. Paid consultations and consulting packages

AI & Leadership Strategy Consultation (£350)

A one-off 90-minute individual consultation plus a written summary of priorities and next steps. It is paid securely in advance by card through Stripe at checkout; the session time is then arranged with Elena around her confirmed availability.

Organisational Transformation & AI Integration (from £3,500)

Project-based and available by enquiry only. Scope, dates, payment milestones, rescheduling and cancellation are agreed individually in a written proposal. Corporate workshops and organisational consultancy are never booked through the public calendar.

None of these services is included in Hey Girl Insider.

8. Statutory cooling-off rights

UK consumers who buy online generally have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of entering into the contract, subject to legally defined exceptions. The exact rights differ between digital content, services and memberships, and we will honour all rights that apply to your purchase.

Where a statutory cancellation right applies, you may use it by any clear statement emailed to drelenacarruba@changeacademy.net.

The UK has published draft subscription-contract regulations proposed to apply from 1 January 2027 to new consumer subscriptions, subject to parliamentary approval. We will review our checkout and communications so that pre-contract information, notices, online cancellation, cooling-off rights and refunds comply with the law in force for each contract.

9. Refunds

We refund payments where the law requires it, where a service or digital product does not meet statutory standards, where we make a billing error (such as a double charge), or where we expressly agree a refund. Cancelling a subscription to stop future renewals does not by itself entitle you to a pro-rata refund for the remaining paid period, unless the law or an offer provides otherwise.

To request a refund, email drelenacarruba@changeacademy.net with the purchase date and relevant details (please never send card numbers). We will assess requests fairly and reply within a reasonable time. Statutory refunds are made within the legal deadline, normally to the original card.

10. Renewal notices and price changes

Your plan's current price, renewal frequency and next payment date are available in your billing information. We will send renewal reminders and cooling-off notices where the law requires them. If a subscription price is due to increase, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email, explain the new amount and when it applies, and give you a straightforward way to cancel before the increase. Where the law requires your consent to a change, we will ask for it.

11. Account termination and paid access

We may suspend or close an account for serious misuse, fraud, non-payment or security risk, with reasonable notice where practicable and subject to your consumer rights. If we end a membership for breach of these terms, or permanently discontinue a paid programme, we will explain the alternatives and offer any refund or remedy the law requires. We will never use account closure to avoid a refund that is properly due.

12. How to give cancellation notice

You can cancel by writing, for example: "I wish to cancel my [membership or service], associated with [email address]. Please confirm the effective date and whether any refund is due." You do not have to use these exact words; any clear statement is enough.
