Dr Elena Carruba · Change Academy
Terms & conditions
Last updated: 4 November 2026
These terms govern the website operated by Dr Elena Carruba, trading as Change Academy. Specific paid products and subscriptions also have their own checkout terms and our subscription & cancellation policy. Nothing here removes your rights under UK consumer law.
1. Who we are
The website is operated by Dr Elena Carruba, trading as Change Academy (a UK sole trader, not a registered limited company). The professional ecosystem includes Change Academy, Euno, Praxis & Nexus, and Hey Girl. Our website is https://elena-carruba.vercel.app. For legal notices, customer support and complaints, email drelenacarruba@changeacademy.net.
2. Accepting these terms
By accessing or using the website, you agree to these terms. If you purchase a service or subscription, the product description, checkout summary, any individually agreed proposal or contract, and our subscription & cancellation policy also apply. If there is a conflict, mandatory consumer law takes precedence; individually agreed service terms govern the relevant service where lawful.
3. What we offer
Our services and content include: (a) Change Academy leadership and AI consultancy, organisational transformation, executive mentoring and professional development; (b) Euno, Praxis & Nexus books, research, publications, workshops and speaking engagements; and (c) Hey Girl articles, community resources, Ask Elena letters and the paid Hey Girl Insider membership. Availability, features, content and prices may change; any material change to an existing purchase will be handled fairly and in line with the law.
4. Information and professional boundaries
Website articles, videos, resources and introductory conversations are for general educational and informational purposes. They are not medical, psychological, legal, investment or other regulated professional advice. In an emergency call 999, or Samaritans on 116 123. Consultancy and mentoring are tailored to the scope expressly agreed. We do not guarantee any particular commercial, career, personal or organisational outcome.
5. Eligibility and accounts
Paid services and memberships are intended for people aged 18 and over. You must provide accurate information and use your own account and a valid payment method. Keep your sign-in details confidential and tell us promptly about any suspected misuse. We may restrict accounts where necessary to address fraud, security incidents, serious misuse or breach of these terms, while respecting your statutory rights.
6. Booking times
Consultations that can be booked online are offered at limited times, in the evenings and on Saturdays (UK time), as shown in the booking calendar. Bookings need at least 24 hours' notice and can be made up to 21 days ahead. Corporate workshops and organisational consultancy are never booked through the public calendar; please use the enquiry form.
7. Free 20-minute discovery consultations
An introductory 20-minute discovery consultation is offered free of charge, subject to availability and booking confirmation. It is exploratory and does not include a completed strategy, deliverable or ongoing advice unless specifically agreed.
To secure the booking, a valid payment card is registered through Stripe. Card registration is not a subscription and does not authorise any charge: the consultation is free and there is no no-show or cancellation fee.
You may cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours' notice, by emailing drelenacarruba@changeacademy.net. If a free consultation is missed without notice, Elena reserves the right to decline a further complimentary booking. If we need to reschedule, we will tell you promptly. Booking a consultation does not oblige you to buy anything.
8. AI & Leadership Strategy Consultation (£350)
A one-off 90-minute individual consultation, followed by a written summary of priorities and next steps.
Payment: paid securely in advance by card through Stripe at checkout. After payment, the session time is arranged with Elena around her confirmed availability.
Rescheduling: free, with at least 48 hours' notice.
Late cancellation or no-show: if you cancel with less than 48 hours' notice or do not attend, Elena may retain a reasonable fee of up to £75 and will refund the balance. Genuine emergencies are considered individually. This fee is only ever applied if you agreed to these terms at checkout, it is always proportionate, and it does not affect your statutory cancellation rights (section 11).
9. Organisational Transformation & AI Integration (from £3,500)
A project-based engagement, available by enquiry only. The starting package includes an initial diagnostic, selected stakeholder consultations, a half-day workshop and a strategic recommendations roadmap. Scope, dates and payment milestones are agreed individually in a written proposal before work begins. Larger implementation work is quoted separately.
10. Executive Mentoring & Strategic Advisory Membership (£1,500 per month)
A professional executive advisory service, not an unlimited-access membership. Each month includes two private 75-minute sessions, a monthly action plan and limited between-session written support for agreed strategic questions. Sessions are scheduled with Elena around her availability.
Payment: a recurring monthly card payment through Stripe.
Term: an initial three-month agreement (three monthly payments), which then continues month to month until cancelled.
Cancelling: after the initial three months, you may cancel by email at any time before your next billing date to stop the following payment.
Full details are in our subscription & cancellation policy.
11. Paid services and your statutory rights
A general website enquiry alone does not form a paid contract. We may decline a proposed engagement if it is outside our expertise, capacity or ethical standards.
Where you buy a service online as a consumer, you normally have 14 days from the date of the contract to cancel. If you ask for sessions to take place within those 14 days and then cancel, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for the services already provided. Once a service has been fully delivered at your request within that period, the right to cancel ends. We will not treat rights as waived merely because a booking was made.
12. Prices and payments
Prices are as shown at checkout or in your written proposal, together with the payment interval and any additional charges, before you confirm a purchase. Payment is by card only, processed securely by Stripe. You authorise only the amounts and billing schedule shown at checkout or in your agreed contract. We never see or store full card numbers.
13. Hey Girl Insider membership
Hey Girl Insider is a separate digital membership at £6.99 per month for UK customers, subject to the final total shown before purchase. It opens once the member content is ready. It does not include coaching or mentoring. It renews automatically each month until cancelled, with no minimum term, and you can cancel online from your account page or by email. Full details of billing, cancellation, refunds, cooling-off rights and price changes are in our subscription & cancellation policy, which forms part of these terms for subscribers. No marketing opt-in is required to buy a membership.
14. Digital content and statutory rights
Digital content and services must meet the standards required by law. Where UK law gives a consumer a 14-day cancellation period for a distance purchase, we will explain that right, how to exercise it and any lawful exceptions before checkout. If immediate supply of digital content affects the right to cancel, we will ask for your express consent and acknowledgement before supply begins. Nothing in these terms limits your remedies under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
15. Intellectual property and permitted use
Unless otherwise stated, the text, original designs, videos, frameworks, educational resources and other original materials on the website belong to Dr Elena Carruba or are licensed for use. Brand and publication references remain the rights of their respective owners. You may view content for personal or internal professional reference, and share links and short quotes with credit, but you may not reproduce, sell, republish, scrape, distribute, train AI systems on, or create commercial derivative products from our materials without prior written permission or an applicable legal exception. External booksellers may set separate licence terms.
16. Your contributions and Ask Elena
When you send a letter, question, testimonial, comment or other material, you confirm that you are entitled to share it and that it is lawful and respectful. Please avoid unnecessary sensitive personal data and other people's confidential information. You keep ownership of your original contributions, and you give us a limited, non-exclusive permission to use them to operate the service and respond. If you tell us an Ask Elena letter may be published, you allow us to publish an anonymised and possibly edited version in Hey Girl, free of charge. We will never publish your email address or anything you ask us to keep private, and we will ask your permission before publicly attributing or publishing any identifiable contribution.
17. Acceptable use and security
Do not use the website to transmit unlawful or abusive material; infringe intellectual property or privacy rights; impersonate another person; interfere with site security; attempt unauthorised access; or carry out automated extraction likely to overload or misuse the service. We may take proportionate action to protect users and the website.
18. Third-party links, technology and availability
The website links to Stripe's payment pages, external booksellers (such as Amazon), YouTube and social networks. These services have their own terms and privacy practices, and we are not responsible for other websites. We aim to keep the website reasonably available, but occasional maintenance or technical interruptions may occur. If paid access is materially affected, we will consider appropriate remedies under the contract and the law.
19. Liability and consumer protections
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded. Nothing reduces your non-excludable consumer rights. Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made, or for losses arising solely from circumstances outside our reasonable control. Business-to-business consultancy may be subject to separately agreed, lawful liability provisions.
20. Privacy, cookies and communications
We process personal information according to our privacy policy and use cookies and similar technologies according to our cookie policy. Marketing emails are sent only to people who have signed up, and you can opt out at any time. Service emails about orders, bookings and security may still be sent when necessary.
21. Changes, complaints and applicable law
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes affecting an existing paid contract will not be imposed unfairly or retrospectively. If you have a complaint, please email drelenacarruba@changeacademy.net so we can investigate and respond. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, but consumers keep any mandatory protections available under the law of where they live, and UK consumer disputes may be brought in the courts that have jurisdiction under consumer law.
